2 Killed, 3 Injured in Fort Oglethorpe Semi Truck Collision

On Friday, July 15th, a semi truck traveling westbound in Catoosa County fatally crashed into a family of five after running a red light. Justin and Sarah Loring of Kankakee, IL were both killed in the crash. Their three children, ages 14, 12, and 8, were all injured in the accident. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and are said to be in stable condition.

The tragic accident took place on Three Notch Road around 3:00pm when a semi truck, driven by Joseph Chislom of Atlanta, collided with a Chrysler Pacifica turning onto Battlefield Parkway. Chisolm was arrested on the scene and charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle in the second degree, driving too fast for conditions, and failure to obey a traffic signal.
