A. J. Walker

A.J. Walker is a Chattanooga personal injury attorney at Warren & Griffin, licensed in both Tennessee and Georgia. Since joining the firm in 2016, he has dedicated his career to helping injured people after car accidents, truck wrecks, slip and fall injuries, dog bites and other premises liability claims that occur because of unsafe conditions at businesses or on someone else’s property. He is an active member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA) and the Chattanooga Bar Association (CBA). A.J. is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Although born in Stuart, Florida, and raised in Jacksonville, A.J. has lifelong ties to Chattanooga. His parents and grandparents are from the city, and he spent his childhood and young adulthood regularly visiting family in Harrison and on Signal Mountain. After graduating from law school in Memphis, those roots brought A.J. home to build his career and raise his own family in the city he has always known and loved.

A.J. approaches every case with genuine empathy. Throughout his career at Warren & Griffin, he has secured recoveries ranging from thousands to one million dollars, and he remains dedicated to fighting for full and fair outcomes whether a client’s injuries are temporary or life-altering.

A.J. earned his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2025. He previously earned a M.A. from the University of Memphis in Art History/Egyptology in 2010 and a B.A from Florida State University in Classics in 2006.

During law school, A.J. received the Dean’s Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award for meaningful service to the Memphis community. He also gained practical experience with the Memphis City Attorney’s office and the Memphis Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

His graduate studies included five months in Egypt, where he carefully catalogued priceless antiquities at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and identified and translated hieroglyphs on tomb walls in Luxor dating to roughly 3,000 years ago. That experience deepened his appreciation for careful attention to detail and the stories people carry.

Before law school, A.J. worked at the Walt Disney World Resort in the Orlando area. Disney’s intensive training and core values—genuine care for others, excellence in every interaction, integrity and a commitment to creating positive experiences—continue to shape how he serves injured clients: approaching each person with empathy and respect, listening closely, remaining calm when emotions run high and treating every individual with thoughtful attention during a difficult chapter of their life.

Today A.J. and his family live on the North Shore of Chattanooga and are proud to be a Normal Park family. Together they enjoy many of the things that make Chattanooga special—summer evenings at the Nightfall concert series in downtown Miller Plaza, cheering on the Chattanooga Lookouts and taking in the natural beauty of the Chattanooga area.
