Biography

Thatcher M. Smith attended the Duncan School of Law in Knoxville where he obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, graduating first in his class with highest honors, while accumulating 16 CALI Excellence for the Future Awards which are given in recognition for the highest grade achieved in an individual class. At graduation, Thatcher also received the Lincoln Lawyer Award for Outstanding Character.

Thatcher is a Chattanooga native that, prior to law school, graduated from Boyd Buchanan High school and later attended the University of Tennessee for his undergraduate education.

After law school Thatcher returned to Warren & Griffin and got right to work helping those who have been injured by the negligence of others. Thatcher represents a wide variety of injured clients, with a focus on helping those who have been injured in automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, and tractor-trailer accidents. He also handles cases involving wrongful death, premises liability, and many others. In his spare time Thatcher loves to spend time with his wife, Jenny, and his family.
